The three 'food' squares are a commission for a new range of 'cafe cards'. Although they were quite a fiddle to cut, I have really enjoyed the challenge of the brief and I'm pleased with the final results. I really enjoy working in this way - its painstaking work but the end results yeild a lot of personal satisfaction. Although I sell prints of my work via my Etsy shop, I am able to carry out private commissions of originals for interiors and can easily be contacted via my website www.wix.com/sarahjarrett/sarah

New Food & Drink Collages......
I'm working on a series of new food collages at the moment for a publisher. They are going to be square format cafe cards. Its a really nice job to do and I'm enjoying the challenges. They are taking quite a long time to do as there is a lot of detail involved and a lot of balancing to make them fit the rest of the range.

Food, glorious food......

I am particularly attracted to the arrangement of things - bowls, cups, teapots, cooking implements- still life really, and I like to play about with this idea in my collage illustrations.
I also love the decorative potential in food - colours and patterns etc and I make most use of this in some of my paper mache pieces. My paper mache cake boxes play this idea to the full. I have both of these for sale in my etsy shop.
At the moment I'm working on some images of 'cup cakes' using collaged fabrics. Again very decorative and patterned. I hope to post them soon.
